What custom colours can I choose from?
We have access to a wide range of powder-coat colour options and recommend selecting from the Dulux powder-coat range. You can order free physical samples directly from their website.
Feel free to reach out if you’d like help choosing a custom colour. We can point you toward the closest match, recommend a suitable finish, and advise on cost-effective options.
Is there an additional charge when choosing a custom powder-coat colour?
Custom powder-coat colours from our ‘made to order’ range typically don’t incur additional charges. However, selecting a custom colour for stocked items may involve an extra fee, starting from NZ$90.
Can I get an exact colour match?
For precise colour matching, we’ll need to use spray painting instead of powder coating, which requires a custom quotation. Please contact us if this is required.
Can I order a product with custom dimensions?
Yes, most of our products can be customised to suit your requirements. Custom sizes are quantity driven and a customisation fee may apply. Get in touch with us for a quotation.
What material are your products made from?
Most of our products are made from aluminium with a powder-coated finish. We also work with metal materials such as steel and brass, as well as mirror glass.
Are your products available in 3D file formats?
Yes, we can supply 3D CAD models to interior designers and architects for use in their projects. Please get in touch with us and let us know the software you’re using and your preferred file types.
Can I pay a deposit rather than paying the total amount all at once?
For made-to-order items, we accept a 50% deposit to process your order, with the remaining balance due upon completion.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept a range of credit cards for online purchases through our website. We can also accept credit card payments for invoiced orders.
Do you offer a product design service?
We are predominantly an online store focused on developing our own products, but from time to time we work with selected clients. We specialise in industrial design and product development. Get in touch to tell us more about what you’re working on.
Can I apply a custom logo or text to the product?
Yes. We can apply custom logos or text using methods such as screen printing or vinyl application. Get in touch to discuss your requirements.
Do you offer bulk order discounts?
Yes, we offer discounts for bulk orders. Share your order details with us and we’ll provide a tailored quotation.
Can you manufacture a product from an image or technical drawing?
In many cases, yes. We’re happy to take a look at your drawings or images and provide feedback. Please send them through and we’ll review and get back to you as soon as possible.
My product arrived damaged, what do I do?
Please contact us as soon as possible. We will require photos of the damaged product and its packaging. Please retain all packaging and do not throw it away.
Can I order a product and pick it up from your studio?
Yes, please contact us to organise a collection time before coming in. Collection can be made from our studio at 5x Central Road, Kingsland, Auckland 1021, New Zealand.
Where are your products made?
Our products are made in New Zealand. This allows for quicker turnaround times, more flexibility with custom orders, and supports our local manufacturing industry.

Where can I view your lights?
We have a small range of samples available to view in person at our studio.
Additionally, our pendant lights are showcased in commercial spaces across the country, with some locations open to the public.

What length of The Long Light should I order for my table or bench?
We recommend selecting a length that is slightly shorter than your table or bench. As a general guide, The Long Light should be approximately 100–600mm shorter than the total length of your table or kitchen island.
How low should pendants hang?
As a general guide, pendants above a table or bench should hang approximately 700–900mm above the surface. For general room lighting where pendants are not positioned over a table or bench, they should be hung high enough so they don’t obstruct movement in the space. The exact height will depend on ceiling height, fixture size, and the layout of the room.
Can the interior of the light fixture be a different colour?
Yes, this involves masking and spray painting the interior of the shade in a different colour. One side will be powder-coated and the other side will be spray painted. Please get in touch with us for a quotation.
What is included with The Long Light?
With the lighting fixture, we provide G95 opal LED bulbs, E27 fittings, cable clamps, and ceiling roses for installation.
Do you supply the electrical cable flex?
The cable flex is not provided unless pre-arranged. We recommend your electrician supplies the flex specified on the spec sheet, as they will be able to provide the correct length required for installation based on your ceiling height.
What are the dimensions of the ceiling rose?
100mm in diameter and 25mm high.
Do you offer ceiling roses for cluster arrangements?
Yes, we recommend the 60mm ceiling rose for cluster arrangements.
Is The Long Light compliant with NZ/AU electrical standards?
Yes, The Long Light has been lab tested to meet NZ/AU standards. We can provide a Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) upon request. Please get in touch with us if you require a copy.
Can I order The Long Light in a custom length?
The Long Light is available in 500mm increments, with standard lengths of 1m, 1.5m, 2m, 2.5m, and 3m.
We can also customise The Long Light to suit your specific dimensions. If you require a length outside of our standard sizes, please get in touch with us.
