From lighting to home accessories and workspace objects, our products are solutions to some of life’s most utilitarian demands.
We combine the unfamiliar with the familiar, and the practical with the aesthetic. Our products are distinctive, often modular, and simplify the everyday.
Each piece is developed in our Auckland design studio. From there, we work with local manufacturers, keeping sustainability and quality front and centre.
Our full range is available online, with selected pieces stocked in stores. From New Zealand, we ship worldwide, delivering directly to your door.

Our products are produced by a network of skilled manufacturers in New Zealand. We prioritise working with local manufacturers located within a tight radius of our studio, often just a 15–20 minute drive away. This keeps us closely involved at every stage, maintains a high level of quality, and supports our local economy.

Components are assembled in-house where required, ensuring consistency across each piece.
Packaging & Dispatch
Products are packaged in-house to meet our quality standards and dispatched from our Auckland-based studio.
Designer
Oddthing was established by Henry Caird, drawing on over a decade of experience in product development, along with a First Class Honours degree in Industrial Design. His approach focuses on simplicity without compromising character, user experience, or longevity. He is committed to creating useful objects that sit well in spaces and bring small, meaningful moments to everyday life.
